BIO

I work in Dr. William Keeton’s Carbon Dynamics Laboratory with an interest in the relationship between forest structure and function. My research focuses on the temperate forests of New England using field research, remote sensing, and simulation modelling approaches. Specific interests include: resilience to disturbance, forest structural development, carbon storage, the role human land-use plays in altering forest structure, and the connections between forests and streams.

Prospective graduate students interested in learning more about research and experiences in the Rubenstein School may contact me.

Area(s) of expertise

Forest ecology, disturbance ecology, forest-stream interactions, carbon storage
