Northern New England Clinical and Translational Research Network (NNE-CTR)
Director: Gary Stein, PhD
Established in July 2017 to augment infrastructure and expertise needed for clinical and translational research, and to support innovative studies that will ultimately improve health outcomes in our region. The network is supported by the National Institute of General Medical Science through their Institutional Development Award (IDeA) Infrastructure for Clinical and Translational Research Program. The program supports "the development of infrastructure and other resources required for the conduct of clinical and translational research in IDeA-eligible states" such as Maine and Vermont.
Translational Global Infectious Diseases Research Center

Vermont Center on Behavior and Health (VCBH)
Director: Stephen Higgins, PhD
A Larner College of Medicine (LCOM) core facility, VCBH was established in 2013 to study the relationship between behavior and health. The VCBH has become a vibrant research center supported by multiple federal grants including a Tobacco Centers of Regulatory Science (TCORS) Award from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)/Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and a Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) Award from the National Institute on General Medical Sciences.
