The Patrick Leahy Honors College Mission
We are a dynamic college that embeds the liberal arts in a culture of research and scholarly inquiry, serving all undergraduate students at UVM who seek opportunities to excel in scholarship, leadership, and civic engagement.
Honors College Council and Committees
As the Patrick Leahy Honors College's primary governing body, the council sets curriculum and advises the dean on college policies. The Honors College Council is comprised of administrators, faculty, staff and students. Each undergraduate academic unit appoints two faculty representatives to the Council: typically an honors program director/coordinator and a representative from the unit's curriculum committee. Honors program directors and coordinators comprise the Honors College Subcommittee on Admission and Retention, and the representatives from the curriculum committees comprise the Honors College Curriculum Subcommittee.
